The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory,[the] glory of [the] one and only [Son] from [the] Father, full of grace and truth.
and rescued him from all his troubles. [He] granted [Joseph] favor and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt, [who] appointed him ruler over Egypt and all his household.
[After] the synagogue was dismissed, many of the Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, who spoke to them [and] urged them to continue in the grace of God.
So [Paul and Barnabas] spent considerable time {there}, speaking boldly for the Lord, who affirmed the message of His grace by enabling them to perform signs and wonders.
[When] [Apollos] resolved to cross over to Achaia, the brothers encouraged [him] [and] wrote to the disciples [there] to welcome him. On his arrival he {was a} great help to those who by grace had believed.
But I consider my life of no value to me, if only I may finish my course and [ complete ] the ministry I have received from the Lord Jesus — [ the ministry ] of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.
Through [Him] [and] on behalf of His name, we received grace and apostleship to call all [those] among the Gentiles [to the] obedience that comes from faith.
Therefore, [the promise comes] by faith, so that [it] may rest on grace [and] may be guaranteed to all [Abraham’s] offspring — not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of [the] faith of Abraham. [He] is [the] father of us all.
But the gift [is] not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one [man], how much more {did} God’s grace and the gift that came by [the] grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many!
For if, by the trespass of the one [man], death reigned through [that] one [man], how much more {will} those who receive the abundance of grace and of the giftof righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!
For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought but think of yourself with sober judgment, according to [the] measure of faith God has given [you].
By the grace God has given me, I laid [a] foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on [it]. But each one must be careful how he builds.
But [by the] grace of God I am what I am, and His grace to me was not in vain. No, I worked harder than all of them — yet not I, but the grace of God that [was] with me.
For this is our boast: Our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially in relation to you, in [the] holiness and sincerity that [are from] God — not in worldly wisdom, but in [the] grace of God.
But thanks [be] to God, who always leads us triumphantly as captives in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of [the] knowledge of Him.
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that [though] He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through [His] poverty might become rich.
More than that [this brother] was chosen by the churches to accompany us with the gracious offering we administer to honor the Lord Himself and [to show] our eagerness [to help].
And God [is] able {to make} all grace abound to you, so that in all things, at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for [My] power is perfected in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest on me.
And recognizing the grace [that] I had been given, James Cephas, and John — those reputed to be pillars — gave me and Barnabas [the] right hand of fellowship, so that we [ should go ] to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcised.
{Let} no unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building up the [one] in need [and] bringing grace to those who listen.
It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in [my] heart. [For] in my chains and in [my] defense and confirmation of the gospel, you are all partners in grace with me.
that has come to you. All over the world [this gospel] is bearing fruit and growing, just as [it has been doing] among you since the day you heard [it] and truly understood the grace of God.
{Let} the word of Christ richly dwell within you as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, [and] as you sing psalms, hymns, [and] spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.
[He] has saved us and called [us] to a holy calling, not because of our works, but by His own purpose and [by the] grace He granted us in Christ Jesus before time began.
But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than [the] angels, now crowned with glory and honor because He suffered death, so that by [the] grace of God He might taste death for everyone.
How much more severely do you think one deserves to be punished [who] has trampled on the Son of God, profaned the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and insulted the Spiritof grace?
{Do} not be carried away [by] all kinds [of] strange teachings, for [it is] good for the heart to be strengthened by grace [and] not by foods of no value to those devoted to [them].
according to [the] foreknowledge of God [the] Father [and] sanctified by [the] Spirit for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by [His] blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance.
How is it to your credit if you are beaten for doing wrong and you endure [it]? But if you suffer for doing good [and] you endure [it], this [is] commendable before God.
Husbands, in the same way, treat [your] wives {with} consideration as a delicate vessel, and {with} honor as fellow heirs of [the] gracious giftof life, so that your prayers will not be hindered.
Young men, in the same way, submit yourselves to [your] elders. And all [of you], clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, God opposes [the] proud, but gives grace to [the] humble.”
And [after you] have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore [you], secure [you], strengthen [you], [and] establish [you].
Through Silvanus, [whom] I regard as a faithful brother, I have written to you briefly, encouraging [you] and testifying [that] this is [the] true grace of God. Stand firm in [it].
For certain men have crept in [among you] unnoticed — ungodly [ones] who were designated long ago for condemnation. They turn the grace of our God into a license for immorality, and they deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
